We are Meltwater.
In 2001, in Oslo, Norway, CEO Jorn Lyseggen founded Meltwater with just US $15,000. Focusing on the nascent field of digital news, Meltwater became the leader in Media Monitoring.
With the advent of social media, Meltwater advanced media monitoring by integrating social media into it's platform, creating Media Intelligence.
Knowing that digital data from individuals and businesses is growing exponentially, Meltwater is leading the pack by applying AI to identify trends, extending the reach of media monitoring.
Meltwater is committed to fostering the growth of the greater startup and data science ecosystem around the world - from MEST, our Pan-African entrepreneurial training program and incubator, to Shack15, the first global data science hub.
The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) is a Pan-African training program, seed fund and incubator for African technology entrepreneurs, headquartered in Accra, Ghana. MEST is funded by the Meltwater Foundation and continually supported by our team all over the world.
