Job Description

Meltwater is looking for an experienced frontend developer that will work on our Media Intelligence web applications. We are looking for a developer who is comfortable building responsive frontend interfaces.

We're looking for a self-starting, fast-learning engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of or desire to learn and be comfortable working and meet the functional and scalability requirements of our products. We offer total ownership of your team's products and your day-to-day will be jam-packed with opportunities to learn new technologies and grow as an engineer.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and implementation of web applications interfaces

  • Be accountable for all aspects of your work, from research and analysis to testing and deployment in production as well as on-call rotation.

  • Commitment to excellence and mastery: We want to keep getting better together!

  • Write code that your peers praise for its elegance and readability.

  • Interface with the UX/UI and application teams.

This is a remote first work opportunity with a distributed team (United States or Canada).

Skills & Requirement

Must haves

  • Strong working knowledge of Javascript and Typescript as well as skill set in developing with the latest web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3

  • Experience with building and running applications in production.

  • Solid understanding of web frameworks and libraries (e.g React, Vue)

  • Understanding of web performance and optimization techniques and proper end-to-end testing of web applications.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with web components

  • Experience with AWS managed services

  • Experience with the Serverless Framework

  • Experience with Agile software development and working within defined project management methodologies and timelines

  • Experience with web accessibility

  • Interest and experience with web design and user experience


  • A degree, or equivalent qualification, in computer science or a related discipline.
