Conferences are a time to connect with colleagues while delving into conversations about your profession’s best practices. It’s an opportunity to explore new technologies and evolving strategies for our ever-shifting business landscape. For these reasons and more, our content team enjoys traveling to Cleveland every September for Content Marketing Institute’s #CMWorld.

And this year’s CM World promises to be at least as exciting as last year’s. Starting today we’ll sit in on sessions and keynotes that highlight how content marketing is evolving and how associated practices, like influencer marketing, PR, and SEO/SEM strategies are essential for content marketing success.

And, of course, we’re excited for the keynotes, especially Tina Fey’s closing keynote on Thursday. One of the best content creators of the last 15 years, we won’t have to look further than her career to see that good stories convert.

On the collaborator and friend front, we’re to attend a session from one the foremost experts in social media and influencer marketing, Erika Heald. This year she’s speaking at 8:00am on Friday on employee brand advocacy, it’s a topic that resonates with our community of PR pros.

Be on the lookout for Michelle Garrett, another friend of Meltwater. She’s producing some content for us from the floor of the convention center, so if she stops to ask you a few questions, please answer her. Michelle comes from PR, so has insights into how content marketing tactics can power up a PR toolbox.

Of course, we’re excited to hear the best in the field speak, including one of our favorite webinar presenters and possibly the only SEO expert that makes optimization sound fun, Andy Crestodina.

We’ll be in the sessions and on the convention floor, probably in deep discussion on where content marketing is going and how we can keep iterating for the best type of content that converts.
