San Francisco, May 20, 2014 – Meltwater, the leading provider of online intelligence solutions delivering big data insights, is pleased to announce it has earned a place amongst the UK’s top employers with its inclusion on the UK’s Best Workplace listing with the Great Place to Work Institute.

After reviewing a record breaking number of organisations and employees, The Great Place to Work®, UK announced the 2014 winners at a special award ceremony at The Brewery, London on 20th May. Meltwater successfully won in the category for medium-sized organisations in the UK.

“We are delighted to recognise a record 100 organisations which have achieved the coveted status of Best Workplace, one that has high trust and highly engaged employees,” Explains Tom O’Byrne, Chief Executive of Great Place to Work®. “Many of this year’s Best Workplaces say it’s their values which are fundamental to who they are, what they do and what they achieve.”

In addition to a number of characteristics key to making the 2014 list, Meltwater was selected based on its admired corporate values, which are held throughout the company’s 57 offices globally. The Meltwater working culture is best known for investing in individual talent, nurturing employee growth, developing people into senior executives and building teams that are often mistaken for a group of friends, not just colleagues.

“Meltwater was founded based on a core belief in people and their potential,” comments Jorn Lyseggen, CEO and Founder of Meltwater. “People drive all that we do; without them Meltwater wouldn’t be what it is today and we wouldn’t have won this exciting award.”

Meltwater is proud to offer its employees a friendly, collaborative working environment, the outstanding opportunity to grow through diverse career development, the chance to work abroad and the opportunity to work with market-leading technology and innovation.

Henry Jones, Area Director for Meltwater UK shared his thoughts, “Being awarded The Great Place to Work® seal of approval once again is testament to the company culture and values we prioritise.”  Jones continues, ”To be recognised externally is a huge achievement for us and one we are all very proud of.”
