"We were using a system that, while powerful and robust, was difficult to use and support calls turned to trying to sell us the next add on to solve our problem, rather than resolve it with the system we had purchased. We needed a simple, easy-to-use tool to monitor our coverage, that of our competition and the trends and issues important to us. We needed a simple format to view, assess and share this information with senior management and quickly move it to our website. We also needed a system that provided the analytics and measurement tools to support our investment in corporate communication's PR, media and influencer relations programs.

With our previous system, our competitive reporting was difficult. Being a small team, with a limited budget and resources, service and support were critical to getting value out of the system. We could not afford the paid service, so support after hours or on weekends was non-existent. The user interface was not very intuitive. The system was robust and offered things such as media contacts database, but without the support and being able to invest in the 3-4 day training we never saw a return on investment. Reports were also difficult to pull and use in word or Powerpoint.

Meltwater makes it easy to monitor the information (agents) that we need see, and quickly make changes when we're seeing things that are not correct. The user interface is much easier to navigate. The reporting is easy to move from results to graphs and moving them to other tools for reporting is simple. The ability to take clips from the report to our website with a click is also of great value. Customizing the agents to make sure we are getting the best competitive information, perspective on our company and insight into trends and issues has been simple. Our account managers have always been available to answer questions and handle training need on the spot. They've also scheduled hour-long sessions to help us better optimize Meltwater.

Meltwater is very valuable in our day-to-day work. It's one of the few tools in our tool kit that gets used everyday, provides weekly actionable information and helps me communicate results and value to the executive team."
