Meltwater News Launches Flagship African Office in Accra

Meltwater News recently opened a flagship office in Accra, Ghana. Accra is a major transport hub for commerce and travel from the U.S. to the rest of Africa, and is sister city to Chicago, IL and Washington, D.C.

Strategically located in an English-speaking country on Africas west coast, the Accra office will provide Meltwater News with a foothold in an often-overlooked region with high potential for development. Meltwater believes in the potential of Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa in general, and the new Accra office will offer support for business services in the area.

Accra is also home to the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), a non-profit, two-year training program for college graduates possessing an interest in technology and entrepreneurial drive. MESTs mission is to create wealth and employment in Africa by enabling African software entrepreneurs.
